Oakland Presbyterian is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a member of the Central Florida Presbytery. Founded in 1887, we are located in the small town of Oakland, FL (nestled between Clermont and Winter Garden, and about 30 minutes west of Orlando). Despite the huge growth and development of our area, we have maintained our sense of community and fellowship, and we welcome all visitors to join us.

Contemporary worship service offers a casual approach to worship and features contemporary music. We are led in worship by the Praise Team, which is accompanied by a band that consists of guitars, piano, drums, and other instruments.
Classes for all ages and groups:
Our 11:00AM service consists of a more traditional order of service. We are joined in worship by the Sanctuary Choir, with accompaniment from the organ and piano. On occasion, our Jubilation Ringers and Children’s Choirs will participate in the service.
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
– Matthew 18:20
There are several signed parking spaces reserved for our visitors near the entrance to our Sanctuary. However, all worshipers are welcome to park on the lawn.
You are welcome to wear whatever makes you most comfortable, regardless of which service you attend. After all, this is Central Florida! At the 8:45AM service, you will find people dressed anywhere from shorts and flip flops to business casual. At the 11:00AM service, most are dressed somewhere between business casual to Sunday best. Above all – we just want you to come worship with us! If you are comfortable, then so are we.
Children are welcome and invited to participate in our worship services. We believe that children learn how to worship by being in worship. Special bulletins are available for children that include activities designed to interest and teach our young guests about the Bible.
We have a nursery available for infants up to age 3 for both our worship services and during the Sunday School hour. The Nursery has at least two trained staff members every week, with church volunteers used when needed. All of our Nursery workers are required to pass a background check prior to working with the children. Parents are provided with a beeper so that the staff may contact you if you are needed for any reason.
We also offer a Children’s Church program during our 11:00 worship service for those children ages 3 – 3rd grade who would like to attend. About 20 minutes into the regular worship service, Our Director of Christian Education takes the children to the Children’s Church classroom, where they can experience a child-friendly worship service along with interactive activities. When it isn’t too hot outside, they end their service with some fun playground time.
