“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

– 2 Timothy 3:16-17

At Oakland Presbyterian Church, we are committed to providing spiritual growth opportunities for all ages. We make Christian growth and continued learning a priority. We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired word – the authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians. The Bible is relevant to the common needs of all people of all times and the specific challenges of contemporary living. There is a place for everyone in the educational and study programs at our church.

Sunday School classes are held Sunday mornings from 9:45 – 10:30 am.

Children’s Classes

Children

One of our highest priorities at Oakland Presbyterian Church is to nurture children and provide opportunities for them to grow in faith. Our Children’s Sunday School program seeks to introduce young people to the love God shares with us through Jesus Christ. It engages them in the story of our faith through age-appropriate Bible lessons, crafts, music, and other activities. The Children’s classes meet in the Christian Life Center. This year, the classes are grouped as follows:

  • Pre-K (age 4*) and Kindergarten
  • 1st and 2nd grade
  • 3rd through 5th grade

*Nursery care is available for children 3 years old and younger
